History of the New American Translations Series
Since BOA’s founding, we have been committed to publishing poetry in translation. From 1979-1999, our translation titles were published in the New American Translations Series. From 2002-2017, in recognition of the generosity of the Lannan Foundation of Santa Fe, New Mexico, translations were published in the Lannan Translations Selection Series. In 2019, we reinstated the New American Translations Series in celebration of our longtime dedication to publishing international poetry.
