Temelkuran is Poetry Daily's March 9th Featured Poet

Poetry Daily, an online contemporary poetry anthology, chose Ece Temelkuran as their featured poet for Wednesday, March 9.  They also named "Squirrel," a poem from her most recent collection Book of the Edge, their poem of the day.  The daily poems are selected for their "literary quality" and offer a way for people to see the wide range of poetry published annually, perhaps leading a reader to his or her new favorite poet. Ece Temelkuran, a poet and journalist, has published 8 books of poetry, prose, and nonfiction and is considered one of Turkey's most accomplished young writers.  Book of the Edge explores the connection between all living beings, and translator Deniz Perin calls the work "to use Baudelaire's words, an invitation to a voyage."  Read "Squirrel" and other daily poems at Poetry Daily [caption id="attachment_1008" align="aligncenter" width="199" caption="Ece Temelkuran.
