Lucille Clifton Challenge Grant

Lucille Clifton

We are proud to honor the legacy of the great BOA—and American—poet, Lucille Clifton. In September 2020, BOA will publish How to Carry Water: Selected Poems of Lucille Clifton. This crucial addition to Lucille Clifton’s published works will be compiled and introduced by distinguished younger BOA poet Aracelis Girmay

The Lannan Foundation has generously provided a $40,000 challenge grant in support of the publication of How to Carry Water: Selected Poems of Lucille Clifton! Every dollar you donate will be matched as soon as we reach our $40,000 goal. Please help us get there!
