Interview with Aimee Senisé Conners, BOA Finance Manager

Have you ever wondered about the staff members that keep BOA running? Well, wonder no more! We’ve created a short interview series so you can get to know the BOA staff. In our final installment of our Get To Know the Staff Series, we have Aimee Senisé Conners (She/Her), BOA’s Finance Manager.

BOA: Hi Aimee! What’s your role at BOA?

Aimee: Finance Manager. I take care of everything that has to do with money: paying bills, fiscal reporting, managing cash in & out, purchasing, and, most importantly, calculating and paying our authors their royalties!

BOA: How long have you been working at BOA Editions?

Aimee: 1 year!

BOA: What is your favorite part about working for the press?

Aimee: Working with my husband, Peter! BOA is his heart and soul, so it makes me so happy to be able to tangibly support BOA.

BOA: What makes our press unique?

Aimee: It's a small publisher with a large audience. We're able to offer boutique services to poets with very individualized attention. Every author is personally known and part of the BOA "family."

BOA: What's one thing you love about BOA’s home city of Rochester?

Aimee: It's got bigger town resources with a small-town feel!

BOA: What's a fun fact about yourself and/or a hobby that you enjoy?

Aimee: I'm a professional yoga teacher when I'm not working at BOA or going to classes for my Master’s in Social Work.

BOA: Are you a writer? If so, what genre(s) do you write?

Aimee: I'm only an author of pithy text messages and social work papers!
