BOA Editions to Receive $30,000 Grant from the NEA

 

Rochester, N.Y. — BOA Editions, Ltd. has been approved for a $30,000 Grants for Arts Projects award to support the publication and promotion of eight new books of contemporary poetry. BOA’s project is among 1,248 projects across America totaling $28,840,000 that were selected to receive this first round of fiscal year 2022 funding in the Grants for Arts Projects category.

The National Endowment for the Arts is proud to support arts projects like this one from BOA that help support the community’s creative economy,” said NEA Acting Chair Ann Eilers. “BOA Editions, Ltd. in Rochester, NY is among the arts organizations nationwide that are using the arts as a source of strength, a path to well-being, and providing access and opportunity for people to connect and find joy through the arts.”

BOA Executive Director and Publisher Peter Conners said, “The National Endowment for the Arts is vital to the lifeblood of the arts in America. We are incredibly grateful for their continuing support of BOA Editions.”

BOA will use this grant to support the publication and promotion of eight new books of contemporary poetry. Planned books include print and electronic editions by Erika Meitner, Dustin Pearson, Matt Donovan, Russell Edson, Danni Quintos, Renia White, Heather Sellers, and Luther Hughes. These titles will be promoted to a wide and diverse audience through readings and other literary events across the country, print and online advertising, and social media outreach.
