Rochester, NY - BOA Editions, Ltd. has been approved for a $45,000 Grants for Arts Projects award to support the publication and promotion of seven new books of contemporary poetry. “The NEA is delighted to announce this grant to BOA Editions, Ltd., which is helping contribute to the strength and well-being of the arts sector and local community,” said National Endowment for the Arts Chair Maria Rosario Jackson, PhD. “We are pleased to be able to support this community and help create an environment where all people have the opportunity to live artful lives.”

Peter Conners, BOA’s Executive Director and Publisher, says, “We greatly appreciate this vote of confidence from the NEA committee in support of BOA’s forthcoming publications. We are incredibly proud of our books and authors and this NEA support will go a long way in helping us share them with the world.”

This grant will support titles by Sheila Carter-Jones, Geffrey Davis, Matthew Gellman, Christopher Kennedy, Rebecca Lindenberg, Yaccaira Salvatierra, and Lynne Thompson. These titles will be promoted to a wide and diverse audience through readings and other literary events across the country, print and online advertising, and social media outreach.
