Tickets for BOA's 2012 Dine & Rhyme are now available. If you will be in the Rochester, NY area on Sunday, September 23, you will not want to miss this fantastic event!
Dine & Rhyme is BOA’s annual fundraiser, consisting of a poetry reading and book signing by nationally recognized BOA poets followed by a reception, dinner, and silent auction. All proceeds from the event go toward the publication of BOA books. As an independent publisher, we rely on grant funding from public and private sources as well as individual contributions to make the publication of our wonderful books possible and to get them into the hands of our dear readers.
This year, our featured poets are Dorianne Laux and Nin Andrews, and the event is being held in celebration of The Collected Poems of Lucille Clifton 1965-2010, now available at the BOA Bookstore. In addition to reading from their own works, Laux and Andrews will be reading selected poems from the new 'Collected Clifton.'
The readings will take place at 3pm in the Auditorium of the Memorial Art Gallery, and the reception, dinner, and silent auction will begin at 5pm at Good Luck Restaurant.
Tickets for the reading portion of the event are $20 in advance and $25 at the door; full event tickets are $125/person ($90 of which constitutes a charitable contribution).
