Anthony Tognazzini
Anthony Tognazzini is a writer and teacher. His fiction collection, I Carry A Hammer in My Pocket for Occasions Such As These, was published by BOA in 2007. He has received residencies from Yaddo, the Djerassi Resident Artists Program, and Ledig House International Writers's Colony, and awards from the Academy of American Poets, the Associated Writing Programs, and the Greer Artist Foundation. He has taught literature, composition, and creative writing at the New School, Pratt Institute, the 92nd Street Y, Adelphi University, and Brooklyn Polytechnic University. He also runs the writing program and works as an advisor for the Kaplan Educational Foundation, a scholarship program that serves academically exceptional, traditionally underrepresented college students in New York City.
