Lannan Translations Series
BOA will accept submissions to the Lannan Translations Series June 1-30, 2014. Please read and follow the below submission guidelines prior to submitting any material.
*Note that unsolicited manuscripts received outside of our reading period will be recycled without comment. Thank you.
The Lannan Foundation of Santa Fe, New Mexico is funding two new collections of contemporary international poetry published by BOA Editions in 2014. The funds support production costs and author and translator royalties. BOA Editions is grateful to the Lannan Foundation for its support of poetry and the art of translation.
Lannan Translations Selection Series Submission Guidelines
WE DO NOT ACCEPT ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS AT ANY TIME
- Submit only one book-length (est. 48-100 pages), complete manuscript at a time. If two manuscripts are sent, both will be recycled.
- Manuscript pages should be one-sided.
- Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with sufficient return postage.
- Send the manuscript Attn: Translation Poetry Submission.
- Simultaneous submissions are okay. Please state so in the cover letter.
- Include a cover letter. Do not include a résumé or vitae.
- Include title, publisher, and publication year of previous full-length poetry collections you have published.
- Allow a minimum of four to five months for reply.
- Please note that manuscripts will be recycled, not returned.
