Diann
Blakely was born in Anniston, Alabama in 1957. She received
her B.A. from the University of the South at Sewanee, Tennessee,
her M.A. from Vanderbilt University, her M.F.A. from Vermont
College, and she has studied writing at Harvard University,
Boston University, and Vermont College. She has been a working
scholar at Bread Loaf, a member of the tutorial staff at Harvard,
and she is currently on the faculty of the Harpeth Hall School
in Nashville, Tennessee. She is the Assistant Poetry Editor
for the Antioch Review.
