Jeanne
Foster is Professor of Graduate Liberal Studies at Saint Mary's
College of California. Her critical book, A Music of Grace,
explores the vision of the sacred in contemporary American poetry.
Her collection of poems, A Blessing of Safe Travel,
won the Quarterly Review of Literature Award in Poetry.
"The First Workshop: A Memoir of James Wright," which
appeared in American Poetry Review, is part of her
book-length memoir of Wright currently in progress. She is a
former MacDowell Colony Fellow and a recipient of a New York
State Creative Artists Public Service Award in Poetry.
